MARGARET LAPIZ
CEO and Co-Founder
Margaret Lapiz is a senior executive with 25 years of experience overseeing health care operations, strategy, finance, diversity, talent management and succession planning efforts. A former Kaiser Permanente EVP, she led organizational turnaround, created new operational models and built care delivery approaches geared towards expansion and growth. In 2018, UC Berkeley’s School of Public Health named her one of its 75 Most Influential Alumni. Margaret is co-founder of Prep Medico, one of the largest Latinx physician pipeline programs in the US. She is currently a trustee of the UC Davis Foundation Board and board member of the Asian Pacific Fund. In 2016, she was selected to the second class of the Aspen Institute’s Health Innovators Fellowship.
DEAN HOVEY
Co-Founder
Dean Hovey is an accomplished high-tech founder, entrepreneur and CEO with over 30 years of Silicon Valley start-up experience. He is known for his creativity, product acumen, customer insights and was the co-founder of world renowned product design firm IDEO. He has held executive positions in public and private companies and led the team that designed the mouse for Apple Computer. His diverse business experience includes retail, innovation consulting, business development, general management, and venture capital.
